    I need a simple trick to automatically execute a shell scrip at one time on start of every month… No concern regarding exact day or time…

    It will reduce one of our monthly task in our office… 🙂

    Schedule the script using crontab.

    If you are using crontab, add the below entry to the crontab. This schedule your script to run at 00:00 in first day of every month.

    0 0 1 * * /script_name

    Try this:

    @monthly /script_name

    This will exactly run the script at 12:00 AM/00:00 on 1st of every month.
